MINOT, ND – Souris Valley United Way’s 2014 campaign starts on Wednesday, September 10th with Enbridge hosting a grill out event at the Arrowhead Shopping Center Parking Lot from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm.
As one of many businesses that partner with the Souris Valley United Way, Enbridge is generously sponsoring the kickoff BBQ. For just $5.00 a plate people can enjoy burgers, hot dogs, beans, chips, and pop. All of the money raised will go to the Souris Valley United Way 2014 campaign.
The 2014 campaign goal is $880,000. The money raised is reinvested to improve people’s lives in our community. SVUW seeks local partnerships which will prepare our youth for School Readiness and Youth Leadership; provide Emergency Assistance for those in need; promote Physical & Emotional Wellness, and Supplemental Nutrition programs.
“Every dollar donated stays in our local community,” stated Patricia Smith, Executive Director for the United Way. “Because of the generosity of the community, we can support these local programs that make an impact on all our lives.”
