2016 Grant Awards

 
MINOT, ND – Souris Valley United Way announced 25 local area programs will receive funding from the 2016 campaign totaling $407,137.  Each program directly addresses the areas of Education, Financial Stability, and Health.
 
Grant recipients were recognized on Thursday, April 20, 2017.
 
Perry Olson, Board President stated, “I’m so thrilled SVUW has continued the great tradition of supporting so many great agencies in our region.  They make a difference each and every day by helping so many.  Our Community Building Committee members worked hard to make sure grant dollars will again make the most impact possible.”
 
“The message heard during the grant interviews was the increased demand for services due to the economic downturn.”  Patricia Smith, Executive Director went on to say, “It will be important to grow the 2017 Campaign.”
