2nd Annual Little Black Dress Campaign
MINOT, ND – Women United, affinity group of Souris Valley United Way, announces their second Annual Little Black Dress Campaign event.
During the week of February 20th, area women will be wearing a black dress or outfit for five consecutive days and collecting funds to help local women. Event proceeds will be distributed through a granting process after the campaign to qualifying programs and organizations. Watch for more details soon.
An online fundraising platform has been created at www.svunitedway.com/little-black-dress-campaign and provides family, friends, and the community the opportunity to support these women’s efforts to showcase the struggles local women are facing every day.
“Our goal is to bring awareness to challenges facing women in our community and raise funds to help them overcome their everyday struggles,” stated Dawn Palumbo, Little Black Dress Campaign Co-Chair. Palumbo encourages the community to participate and show their support for those in the area who are struggling to be contributing citizens in our community.
Kick-Off Breakfast for Participants will be held Monday, February 20th at 7:30 am at the Grand Hotel.
Celebration Event will be Friday, February 24th at 4:00 pm at the Taube Museum of Art. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at www.svunitedway.com/little-black-dress-campaign. Help us celebrate the success of this campaign.
