3rd Annual Donor Recognition Luncheon

Souris Valley United Way Announces 2016 Campaign Results 
Souris Valley United Way celebrated their 2016-17 campaign year at the Third Annual Donor Recognition Luncheon held Wednesday, February 1st at the Grand Hotel.
Area businesses and donors gathered to celebrate the official end of the 2016 campaign cycle.  Campaign pledges reached $565,615, which is a decrease of 17% from the prior year.  SVUW also received $402,739 from in-kind donations, gifts, grants, and more.
Brenda Foster, 2016 Campaign Chair, thanked the community for their continued support and presented the following awards:

Executive Director Patricia Smith thanked everyone for their continued support.  She reminded them “There is no other non-profit that enables your donation to support 25 area programs all at once.”  Souris Valley United Way currently funds 25 local programs, which includes Dolly Parton Imagination Library and Minot Backpack Buddies.
Other recognitions included Joyce Hanson, who received the Tocqueville award for individual donation over $10,000.  An Anonymous Donor, Richard and Diane Olthoff, Bob and Laurel Weigelt, and Vallely Sport & Marine made significant contributions to the SVUW Endowment Fund.
DelRae Zimmerman (with Brokers 12 Real Estate) and Matt Geinert (Future Builders, Inc.) were announced as the  2017-18 Campaign Chairs.
