Souris Valley United Way increases community engagement by launching volunteer site
MINOT, ND – In an effort to increase community engagement and offer further support to community partners, Souris Valley United Way will launch an online community resource program.
The website will allow individuals to see the many opportunities to volunteer and make an impact on the community. Also, nonprofits and charities will have a place to promote their needs whether it is in-kind or locating volunteers.
“We are very excited to provide this much needed service for the community, said Patricia Smith, Executive Director. “Community members will now have more opportunities to be involved.”
The online system, which is administrated by Souris Valley United Way, is called “Get Connected.”
The future website will do more than just create matches among the service community and volunteers; it will also help to build lasting relationships.
The launch date will be in January.
