About Us

Our Mission

We mobilize people, organizations and resources in an impactful effort to advance Education, Financial Stability, and Health while addressing basic human needs.

Our Goals

Every year, local agencies apply for partnership with Souris Valley United Way and undergo extensive interviews conducted by a team of local volunteers.

Agencies that meet our guidelines are granted a portion of the funds raised during our annual United Way campaign.

Food, shelter, health and wellness, dignity, self-worth, independence, companionship - these are just some of the needs that we help meet in our community.

Diversity & Inclusion

Souris Valley United Way advocates and promotes diversity among its board, staff, agencies, volunteers, programs, services, donors and partners. We define diversity as valuing individuals without regard to race, color, religion, creed, age, gender, national origin or ancestry, marital status, veteran status or disability. Our goal is to have our Board of Directors, staff and volunteers genuinely demonstrate the principles of diversity, which enrich our community.

Equity Statement

The Souris Valley United Way fights for all people all the time.  We strongly support equity in our communities and will work to achieve this for every person.  We will fight for everyone regardless of race, ethnic background, gender and for any other marginalized group located within our service area.  We will accomplish this through educational efforts, programming supports, and by granting dollars to programs that also support equity in our communities.
